SHIP BOTTON, NJ — July 26 — Firefighters from Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Co., Station 46, helped with a motor vehicle crash that involved entrapment on July 26.They worked alongside other fire departments from Long Beach Island to safely remove the trapped individuals and support an air-medical transport.

Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Co., located at 2006 Central Ave., Ship Bottom, New Jersey 08008, was the primary department involved in this incident.

The fire company is a volunteer-based organization that provides fire and emergency services to Ship Bottom and part of Long Beach Township.The official website of the department lists Engine 4611 as a Rosenbauer engine with a 1,750-gallon-per-minute pump and a 750-gallon water tank.

The accident was reported around 6:04 p.m.

on July 26.Station 46 was called to assist High Point Volunteer Fire Company, Station 51, and Surf City Volunteer Fire Company, Station 49, in a motor vehicle crash that involved entrapment.

Engine 4611 responded with six firefighters and arrived as the first engine on the scene for Station 46.

The crew quickly started working around the vehicle, including clearing trees that had fallen around the car and beginning the process of extracting the trapped individuals.

Firefighters from the involved departments worked together to safely remove the passengers from the vehicle.
