Cherry Hill Fire Department Responded to Garden State Drive Dwelling Fire

Cherry Hill, N.J. — September 22 — The Cherry Hill Fire Department responded on Tuesday evening to a reported fire at a residence located in the 400 block of Garden State Drive.


Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a fire that was already well underway and spreading through the building.

The situation required the incident commander to set up a working fire box and call in additional resources from the fire department.


Firefighters quickly connected hose lines and began efforts to locate and control the fire. Crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading further within the structure.


The fire was brought under control within a short amount of time. Afterward, firefighters conducted an overhaul of the affected areas to ensure there were no remaining embers or hot spots.


No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The response demonstrated the value of a swift initial attack and the necessity of deploying extra resources when fire conditions suggest the need for a working fire assignment.


The Cherry Hill Fire Department, located at 1100 Marlkress Road in Cherry Hill, continued its operations with standard procedures focused on fire suppression, occupant safety, and the protection of nearby properties.
