At approximately 0112 hours on October 8, 2026, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room dispatched the Somerdale Fire Department and automatic aid units to 624 White Horse Pike for the report of a store on fire located in a row of strip stores. Chief 65, Brian Barkoff, arrived and reported heavy fire showing from Tobacco Outlet which is one of the stores in the row of stores. Somerdale Quint 65 positioned in front of the building and stretched an attack line through the front door to hit the fire. Quint 65 raised their aerial to the roof as there was a threat that the fire would get into the roof area. As fire units arrived, additional attack lines were stretched and operated, water supply was established, searches conducted, exposures were checked, ventilation and overhaul were conducted, and the building was laddered. The fire was placed under control in about 40 minutes.
