Ramsey, NJ - On July 27 in Bergen County, Ramsey Fire Department Tower 442 was requested to the Village of Ridgewood on a cover assignment while local units operated at a working structure fire.

While in the area, Tower 442 was subsequently dispatched to East Ridgewood Avenue for a reported underground electrical vault fire. Upon arrival, crews identified an issue involving the underground electrical system and implemented appropriate safety precautions due to the hazardous nature of electrical infrastructure incidents.

The area was secured and maintained under control measures to ensure public and responder safety, while coordination was established with utility personnel for further assessment and mitigation.
