OLD BETHPAGE, NY - On Sunday, July 27th, the Nassau County VEEB hosted a Recruit Nassau County event at the Nassau County Fire Academy. Fire and EMS agencies from around Nassau County attended the event with tents for recruitment and had apparatus on display. Representatives from the Nassau County Junior Firefighters Association also promoted youth programs, such as Camp Fahrenheit 516, which introduces teens to fire careers. Attendees were able to also witness multiple live fire demonstrations performed by different fire agencies and a demo by the junior firefighters.
