Oct. 2, 2025 — Members of the Bath VA Fire Department B-Shift spent Thursday sharpening their skills with low-angle rope rescue operations.
The session, led by FF/EMT Orchard and FF/Paramedic Francesco, included hands-on training with new equipment, instruction on anchor and rope system setup, and practical rescue scenarios.
Low-angle rope rescues are critical in situations where firefighters must safely remove individuals from slopes, embankments, or uneven terrain. Training ensures that crews are proficient in the technical skills and teamwork required to handle these challenging rescues.
By combining classroom instruction with field practice, Bath VA Fire continues to strengthen its readiness for complex rescue operations.
