The New Jersey Firemen's Home is licensed and inspected by the New Jersey Department of Health and governed by a 21-member Board of Managers, all firefighters, elected by their respective county.

The New Jersey Firemen’s Home, established in 1898, is the ONLY licensed health care facility in the State of New Jersey whose primary mission is dedicated to the men and women of the New Jersey Fire Service, both volunteer and career. Any firefighter, male or female, paid or volunteer, with one year of service qualifies, all with no asset “spend-down” required!

The Firemen’s Home provides:

-Residential, Long Term and Memory Care
-24 Hour Licensed Nursing Staff
-Recreation Director who is a certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
-Fully certified Dietary Manager
-Fully licensed Dietician
-Fully Licensed Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist
-CDP: Certified Dementia Practitioners
