On June 18, 2025, at 4:39 PM, the calm of the afternoon was shattered by a call no firefighter ever takes lightly—an extrication assignment following a rollover crash at the intersection of Delilah Road and Windsor Avenue.
Members of the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company #1 responded swiftly to the scene, where two vehicles had collided, leaving one overturned and trapping a driver inside. Crews moved quickly and carefully to stabilize the vehicle and remove the driver, who was then treated for minor injuries by the Egg Harbor Township Rescue Squad.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Assistant Chief Craig Thompson served as the incident commander, ensuring a smooth and coordinated response.
Thanks to the quick actions of Cardiff’s volunteers, the scene was brought under control with professionalism and precision. It's just another example of your local firefighters standing ready—day or night—to serve and protect.
