Pomfret Fire Handles Crash, Mutual Aid Fire Call and Training

On July 18, at 4:13 a.m., Pomfret Fire was called to a single-vehicle collision on Pomfret Road. Vermont State Police, Woodstock Ambulance, and Engine 3 and Squad 1 responded. State police took up the investigation after no risks or injuries were discovered.
Hartland Fire requested a Pomfret tanker for station coverage and a first-alarm structure fire while workers were clearing. While Squad 1 covered the station, Engine 2 responded to the fire. At around 6:30 a.m., units left Hartland. Three Additionally, Pomfret firefighters participated in United Fire Training at the Enfield Fire Department, which focused on PPE and SCBA skills, attack lines, search and rescue, firefighter survival, and forced entry.
