Newport City Firefighters Respond to Fire Alarm at UCA

Newport, Vt. — September 21 — On Monday morning, Newport City firefighters responded to a fire alarm at UCA but found no evidence of fire, permitting students to resume their normal school day.
Around 10:27 a.m., Members of the Newport City Fire Department answered the alarm. The firefighters assessed the scene and discovered no fire or other emergency. Students were then allowed to resume their activities.
The Newport City Fire Department managed the response. No external fire departments or mutual-aid agencies were found to have provided assistance with the call.
