Akron Crews Respond to Early-Morning Dwelling Fire

AKRON, PA — July 22nd — A residential fire in the boro was responded to early in the morning by Akron Volunteer Fire Company 12. When Engine 12 and Rescue 12, each with six firefighters, arrived, they discovered an external fire at the back of the house.
No injuries were recorded, and all residents were evacuated. In order to contain the fire and inspect the building, crews collaborated with mutual help organizations.
Reinholds Fire Company Station 18, Farmersville Fire Company, West Earl Fire Station 29, and Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company were among the supporting agencies. EMS assistance was given by the Ephrata Community Ambulance Association.
Akron was covered by Lincoln Fire Company Station 16, while Company 15 was covered by Adamstown Fire Company and Martindale Volunteer Fire Department Station 3. Akron also expressed gratitude to W Donuts for their coffee and ongoing support.
