Conway Crews Supported Third-Alarm Structure Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Edgeworth, PA. — July 13 — Crews from many stations of the Conway Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a sizable home on Chestnut Road. As workers attempted to confine the fire, the situation was raised to a third alarm. A long driveway led to the house, which was situated along a small, curving road.

Due to restricted access, equipment was set up as far away as a half-mile down a steep hill. Firefighters and equipment were transported between staging areas to the residence with the assistance of ATVs. As more resources came to support the fire attack and overhaul operations, crews coordinated their efforts.
