A working multi-unit building fire at 35 Valley Street in Lewistown Boro prompted the response of Mifflintown Hose Company No. 1 Tower 2 just before 11 p.m. on July 30.

When Chief 32 arrived in response to police reports of potential entrapment, he discovered heavy fire and persons leaping from Side A. Two medical helicopters also responded to the request for more EMS resources and a second alarm.

Tower 2 was situated on the building's A/B side, and its personnel helped with fireground operations. The crew stayed in Lewistown Boro to cover further calls after the fire was contained before going back to work before one in the morning.
