Marine 8 Assisted During Frye’s Leap Response

Sebago Center, ME— July 19 — Fire Department of Sebago. A boat in peril was reported, and Marine 8 responded at Frye's Leap. To help with the water emergency, the marine team traveled to the location. As Sebago Marine 8 arrived, Raymond Marine units came and took over the response. After being cleared, the Sebago unit was put back on the pier without being assigned again.


In the event of a water emergency on Sebago Lake, the response demonstrated the importance of coordination between nearby marine units. For boat distress calls, searches, and other maritime incidents, marine resources supplied equipment and qualified personnel. Throughout the boating season, the agency kept up its emergency maritime response capabilities.
