Oakland, ME — September 19 — Oakland Fire Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident on Belgrade Road on September 19.Oakland Police Department and Delta Ambulance also arrived at the scene.


The incident was classified as a personal injury accident, prompting the involvement of fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical services to manage the situation and assist those involved.



During motor vehicle crashes, fire-rescue personnel are responsible for several key tasks, such as ensuring scene safety, controlling hazards, assisting with patient access, and managing traffic.

Police officers assist in securing the roadway and documenting the incident, while emergency medical services evaluate and treat injured individuals and decide if transportation is necessary.


Delta Ambulance provided emergency medical support during the response.

The service noted that it offers 911 coverage to Oakland and surrounding areas and handles numerous emergency calls throughout the region.
