Providence Canteen Responded to Branch Avenue Fire

Providence, R.I. — July 12 — In response to a structure fire at 470 Branch Ave., Canteen 1 of the Special Signal Fire Association/Providence Canteen, 100 Minnesota Ave., Warwick, provided firemen and other emergency workers with rehabilitative and logistical support. In order to help crews stay prepared throughout prolonged fireground activities, the unit provided refreshments, water, and rest resources.


By promoting the health and operational efficacy of firefighters, rehabilitation services are crucial to fighting fires. In order to maintain emergency operations until suppression, overhaul, and other fireground actions were safely finished, the response illustrated the importance of specialist mutual assistance resources collaborating with local agencies.
