Mutual Aid Crews Responded to Little Compton Structure Fire

Bristol, RI — September 15 — Bristol Fire Department personnel responded to a reported structure fire in Little Compton as part of a mutual aid call. Members from Bristol joined firefighters from Little Compton and other local departments at the scene, offering extra personnel and resources to help with the situation.

The Little Compton Fire Department reported that the fire occurred on Long Highway.

Firefighters were dispatched around 10 a.m. And discovered a fire in a detached garage. The fire spread rapidly, prompting the need for support from mutual aid departments in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, along with a tanker task force and other essential resources.

While suppression efforts were underway, Bristol Fire Department members provided assistance to Little Compton crews.

The mutual aid system allowed additional fire companies to respond to the incident, while other resources stayed available to serve their home communities.
