On July 22, at around 10:34 p.m., the Shelton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a condominium complex on Fox Run.

When Companies 3, 1, and 5 arrived, they discovered severe fire conditions, which led to the declaration of a working fire and the sending of a second alarm. As the fire spread through three connected condominium apartments, firefighters worked for several hours. Before being released, one firefighter was taken for assessment and treatment of dehydration. The building was declared uninhabitable, and all tenants safely left.

The cause of the fire is being looked at by the Shelton Fire Marshal's Office. Neighboring departments offered station coverage and mutual help.
