Paterson - Passaic County. After 28 years of service with the Paterson Fire Chief McDermott retired on August 1st 2023. He began his career in June 1995, he was on an Engine, Ladder and Rescue Company before he bacame a Chief officer rising the the possition of Chief of Department. There was a ceremony to honor him at Fire Headquarters for his many years of dedicated service to the city.
