Bethlehem second alarm dwelling fire

Bethlehem, PA- On May 22nd, firefighters were summoned to a working dwelling fire at the corner of W. Broad and 7th Ave. at around midnight. First due companies had heavy fire showing on the second floor rear porch deck area along with possible entrapment. The first floor of the building was used for commercial use while the second and third floor had an apartment. A second alarm was transmitted with the knockdown time being in about an hour. The outside rear deck was charred, the second and third floor had fire, smoke and water damage while the first floor had smoke and water damage. Two adults, two children, a dog and a cat made it safely out of the building. Further assistance for them was provided by the American Red Cross.
