Quick Fire Attack Limits Damage in Heron Road House Fire

Norwalk, CT - Firefighters quickly contained a residential fire on Heron Road after arriving to find smoke and flames showing from the rear of a 2½-story wood-frame home.

An aggressive interior attack confined the fire to a second-floor bedroom, preventing significant extension and limiting smoke and water damage throughout the residence. Fire crews also conducted a primary search, confirming that no occupants were inside.

Additional crews checked for extension into the attic and roof, established a water supply, and secured utilities before ventilating the structure and ensuring it was safe for re-entry.

No injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. The homeowners were notified of the incident with assistance from neighbors.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
