WHITMAN, MA - Around 10:15 P.M. on the evening of Thursday, June 1st, the Whitman Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of 1057 Bedford Street. Car-3, Ambulance-248, and Engine-242 responded. Companies arrived to find a two-car crash with one car with heavy damage that had struck a telephone pole. Route-18 was shut down to traffic due to the accident. Only one victim required transport to the South Shore Hospital. No other injuries were reported.
