Pre-dawn Fire in Fall River

Fall River, Ma. Firefighters responded to a pre-dawn fire in a three story occupied wood frame structure with smoke and flames showing. Engine 2, 4, 9, Ladder 4, and Platform 1, along with Heavy Rescue 1 responded. Car 2 arrived on scene and declared a working fire and requested a second alarm dispatching Engine 12 and Car 3 to respond. Firefighters found heavy fire on the first floor extending to the second floor of the house located in the rear of another structure requiring the deployment of leader lines to reach the fire. Two occupants were treated by EMS personnel while one resident was transported to a local hospital.
