Exterior Fire Spreads Inside Fall River Home

FALL RIVER, MA - At 11:05 A.M. on May 24th, firefighters were toned out for a still alarm reported to be at 96 Division Street. On arrival, it was determined that the fire was around the corner at 44 Beacon Street. Car 3 arrived on scene and reported a first floor exterior porch fire that had communicated to the entire exterior wall all the way to the roof. Engines 2, 4 and 5, along with Ladders 2 and 4, Heavy Rescue 1 and Car 3 (covering for Car 2) responded. Attack lines were stretched and firefighters knocked down the exterior flames before moving inside. Firefighters opened the walls on all three floors and completed extinguishment.
