This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

STRATHMERE, NJ — 8th May — A reported boat fire involving an injured individual prompted the Strathmere Fire Rescue to arrive at the intersection of 32nd Street and Bay Avenue. While emergency personnel started providing critical treatment, firefighters came to discover a vessel on a trailer that was heavily engulfed in flames. Before the patient was evacuated to a regional trauma center for additional care, a quick trauma assessment was finished.

As they checked potential extension dangers involving nearby vehicles and equipment, crews swiftly contained the fire and secured the surrounding area. Because of fuel systems and electrical components, boat fires can pose significant difficulties. The Cape May County Fire Marshal's Office is still looking into what caused the event.
