Concord firefighters battle Brush

Concord, NH. As the state classified today's weather as a High Class 3 Fire Danger day, Concord, NH Firefighters battled a small area of brush on Shaker Road near the power lines. Crew's where dispatched at 1459 hours for brush under the power lines in the area of 85 Shaker Road. Engine 5, Engine 7, Tanker 1, Forestry 5, Forestry 7 and Battalion 3 responded. The fire was quickly contained and brought under control about 30 minutes later. The State has been busy with numerous brush fires with the high danger weather the past couple days. Laconia had a 2 Alarm outside fire in the woods last night and Barnstead had a first alarm assignment of Brush just prior to Concords brush fire.
