On Sunday May 2nd 2021 at just before 1:30pm the Suffolk County Police Department 7th Precinct Officers responded to a 911 call of a bag of human remains found during a local clean up. Suffolk County Police Officers went into were the caller stated and did find human remains. Suffolk County Police then requested the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to the scene. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner did make a positive confirmation on the remains. The Suffolk County Police Department Crime Scene Section was requested to the scene. Suffolk County Police Department Crime Scene Section investigated the remains and the area around the remains. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. The victim identity has not yet been released.
