Two Transported After Route 205 Collision

— April 10th — Atwood Hose Fire Company, American Legion Ambulance, and the Plainfield Police Department arrived at the scene of a car accident near the intersection of North Chestnut Street and Wauregan Road (Route 205).
When units arrived at 10:07 a.m., they discovered a collision between a four-door automobile and a Connecticut DOT dump truck. Crews helped EMS with patient care and secured the area. Due to their minor injuries, both operators were taken to the hospital.
Fire personnel remained on scene for hazard control and cleanup while the vehicles were removed. Wauregan Road was reopened at approximately 10:50 a.m. Plainfield Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
