Ellington, CT - The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department responded to Deer Valley Town Homes for a motor vehicle accident involving a car that struck and entered a building, with the driver still inside.

Firefighters quickly assessed the situation and determined the operator could be safely removed without heavy extrication, leading to the cancellation of additional mutual aid resources.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while apartment occupants were unharmed.

Crews remained on scene to assist with the safe removal of the vehicle and to secure the structure.
