Mobile Home Destroyed in Early Morning Fire in Turner; No Injuries Reported

Turner, ME - On March 20, 2026, at approximately 2:21 a.m., the Androscoggin County Communications Center dispatched Turner Fire Rescue to 63 Blake Road following reports of a mobile home structure fire. Units including Turner Engine 1, Engine 2, Utility 1, and Rescue 3 responded, with a first alarm struck immediately.


Upon arrival, firefighters found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames on all sides and quickly initiated defensive operations. Command was established, and a complete 360-degree assessment of the scene was conducted. Crews worked to remove multiple combustible materials from the surrounding area to prevent further spread.


No occupants were present inside the residence at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported among responding personnel. Tragically, two cats perished in the incident.


Turner Fire Rescue received mutual aid assistance from several neighboring departments, including Auburn Fire Department, Greene Fire Department, Leeds Fire Department, Minot Fire Department, Buckfield Fire Department, Hebron Fire Department, and Jay Fire & Rescue.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Maine Fire Marshal’s Office.
