MASSAPEQUA, NY - On Tuesday, March 26th, a dignified transfer took place for NYPD Police Officer Johnathan Diller. Officer Diller was a three-year veteran with the NYPD assigned to the Community Response Team in the 101st Precinct in Far Rockaway Queens, and died in the line of duty after being shot on a routine traffic stop. The transfer took place from the Medical Examiner Office in Lower Manhattan to Massapequa Funeral Home in Massapequa. Along the route, dozens of firefighters, EMTs, and police officers and saluted the procession. Officer Diller leaves behind a wife and son.
