On March 15th, the Hawthorne Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle rollover accident on Memorial Drive at the entrance to Hawthorne Elementary School.

When firefighters arrived, they discovered the person already outside the vehicle, having been aided by a local resident who is also a member of the department and had heard the crash from home. The person denied medical attention.

Firefighters secured the site, dealt with a minor fluid spill, and waited until the vehicle was towed away. The road was cleared in time for morning drop-offs at Hawthorne Elementary School.
