Lacona Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire in Redfield

Lacona, NY - On February 22, 2026, at approximately 9:18 PM, the Lacona Fire Department Inc. was dispatched by the Oswego County 911 Center to a reported structure fire at 378 Little John Drive in the Redfield Fire District.


Lacona responded with Chief 13-0-1, Assistant Chief 13-0-2, Engine 13-2-1, and Tanker 13-5-1, bringing nine personnel to the scene, with an additional crew standing by at the Lacona station. First-arriving units found a fully involved structure located down a long, unplowed driveway, requiring crews to stretch multiple lengths of supply line to reach the fire.


Lacona personnel assisted in suppressing the remaining fire, extinguishing hotspots, and conducting overhaul operations. No injuries were reported. Crews returned to service at approximately 12:22 AM.


Other agencies on scene or in standby included Redfield FD, Orwell FD, Williamstown FD, Sandy Creek FD, Florence FD, Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Oswego County Fire Coordinators, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and National Grid.
