Lacona, NY - On March 1, 2026, at 11:04 AM, the Lacona Fire Department Inc. was dispatched by the Oswego County 911 Center to the area of County Route 17 and Tucker Road in the Town of Boylston for a reported snowmobile accident involving two snowmobiles.

Units responding included 13-0-1 (Chief), 13-7-2 (Utility), and 13-7-3 (UTV). Upon arrival, the UTV was quickly deployed and proceeded down the C5A trail to access the scene. Responders found that two snowmobiles had collided in a head-on accident.

Fortunately, neither of the operators sustained any injuries.

The Lacona Fire Department worked alongside the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, and the Oswego County 911 Center during the incident.

All units cleared the scene and Lacona Fire Department returned to service at 12:25 PM.
