Mutual Aid Assists at Unadilla Village Fire Response

Unadilla, NY — March 5th — In the Village of Unadilla, firefighters from the Unadilla Fire Department responded to a reported building fire. After being sent, the first apparatus arrived at the location with a crew of six firefighters in roughly five minutes. In order to contain the fire, crews swiftly extended handlines and launched an interior assault.
By acting quickly, they were able to control the situation and minimize structural damage. The Wells Bridge Fire Department was put on standby at first and then came to help with personnel. The Otsego County Fire Coordinators, the City of Oneonta Fire Department, the Franklin Fire Department, and the Sidney Fire Department all contributed extra assistance.
