Mutual Aid Response Controls Fernandina Beach Structure Fire

Fernandina Beach, FL — February 2nd — The Fernandina Beach Fire Department, 225 S 14th St., Fernandina Beach, FL, United States, 32034, and mutual aid partner Nassau County Fire Rescue responded to a reported residential structure fire at 407 South 17th Street. When the crews arrived, the house was emitting a lot of smoke and fire. As they coordinated fire attack efforts, firefighters launched an aggressive interior search.


Searches revealed that every resident was present, and the fire was put out. Before being sent to a nearby hospital, one victim received on-scene treatment for minor burns and smoke inhalation. There were no recorded firefighter injuries. According to officials, the response highlights the significance of solid mutual aid alliances and quick deployment. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
