Pinecrest, FL — February 1st — As part of its continuous public education initiatives, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, located at 9300 NW 41st St., Miami, FL, United States, 33178, demonstrated a fire engine at Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School. Students participated in practical exercises and received education in fire safety from members of the Community Affairs team. Children viewed tools used in emergency operations, investigated a fire engine, and learnt about protective clothing.
Additionally, firefighters talked on the significance of smoke alarms, preparing for house escapes, and dialing 9-1-1. According to officials, school outreach initiatives enhance community readiness and lower the risk of fire. In addition to fostering close ties between first responders and families throughout Miami-Dade County, early education helps achieve national fire prevention goals. To raise awareness and encourage safety, the department still collaborates with nearby schools.
