HARDWICK, VT - On February 15, 2026, at 7:28 a.m., Hardwick Fire Dept. (HFD) was toned out to provide mutual aid to Morrisville for a reported structure fire. The department’s Tower truck was specifically requested along with manpower. HFD responded with 12 members staffing Engine 2 (E2) and Ladder 1 (L1). Crews spent most of the day assisting their partner agencies at the scene. All units returned to quarters by 2:00 p.m. The department also extended its thanks to the HFD Auxiliary for providing snacks and lunch to members upon their return.
