WEST MANATEE, FL — January 30:Members of the West Manatee Fire and Rescue District visited Palma Sola Elementary School to educate students about fire and life safety. Inspector Brooks, Inspector Price, Inspector Staton, and Bureau Administrator Leissler oversaw the program, with assistance from Station 1 staff. Students learned about important safety subjects such as home fire prevention, smoke alarm awareness, and what to do in an emergency. Firefighters showed complete protection gear to assist reduce fear during crises and guided children through the fire apparatus.
