On January 23, Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a working structure fire in the 800 block of Kennedy Boulevard, Brooksville. Crews arrived to find an active fire and commenced suppression operations while searching the structure. Firefighters tried to confine the fire and safeguard neighboring areas as additional units assisted with water supply and scene operations. East Jefferson Street was closed at Kennedy Boulevard while crews worked on the area to ensure the safety of responders and the public.
