February 17, 2026 — Farmington Fire Rescue members participated in hands-on training this month focused on hydrant operations and rural water supply review.
Crews practiced establishing water supply from municipal hydrants, including proper connection techniques, appliance setup, and troubleshooting common issues. Members also reviewed rural water supply operations, reinforcing procedures for drafting and coordinating tanker operations in areas without hydrant access.
These practical drills help ensure firefighters can quickly secure and manage a reliable water source under a variety of conditions, strengthening operational readiness across the community.
