The DeLand Fire Department announced its 2025 service statistics, which showed 9,624 total calls for service for the year. Medical crises accounted for the most calls, with 7,186, followed by 1,559 other accidents and 879 fire replies. According to officials, the numbers show the community's sustained demand for emergency medical assistance. On the preventative front, the agency conducted over 3,200 inspections and re-inspections, as well as 643 permit inspections and 586 plan reviews. Fire authorities stated that prevention and code enforcement remain critical to lowering risk and enhancing safety for people and businesses.
