REIDSVILLE, GA — January 29th — A structure fire on Azalea Street was reported, and the Reidsville Fire Department, located at 117 Tattnall St., Reidsville, GA, joined multiple agencies in responding. When first arriving units noticed smoke rising from the roof, they started working. After entering the house, firefighters found the fire near the electrical box in the attic.

In order to ameliorate conditions, crews launched an internal attack while ventilation operations were carried out from the roof. The City of Reidsville Police Department assisted the Tattnall County Fire Department, Rogers State Prison Fire, Smith State Prison Fire, and Tattnall County EMS in providing mutual aid. Despite receiving a medical evaluation, one firefighter did not suffer any significant injuries. There were no people home, and the fire was extinguished with little spread.
