Jacksonville Fire Rescue Supports MLK Day Parade

JACKSONVILLE, FL — January 20th —  The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department participated in the 45th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade, supporting a safe and welcoming community event while honoring Dr. King’s legacy of service and unity. Fire Chief Percy Golden II, Division Chief of Rescue M. Dallas Cooke, and department members marched alongside crews, apparatus, Special Events teams, and Emergency Preparedness specialists along the parade route. Firefighters and staff interacted with residents, delivered safety advice, and provided operational support to ensure the event went successfully. Officials stated that attending neighborhood events develops relationships and increases public trust in emergency services.
