Brooks, Quitman Fire Departments Sign Automatic Aid Agreement

BROOKS COUNTY, GA — February 4th —Brooks County Fire Department and the City of Quitman Fire Department have established a new automatic aid agreement aimed at improving response times and strengthening public safety in both jurisdictions. The collaboration enables each department to automatically respond to reported building fires in the other's service area, resulting in increased manpower and resources during major situations.

According to the agreement, Brooks County Fire will respond one engine to all reported building fires within Quitman city limits. The City of Quitman Fire Department will also send one engine to reported building fires in Brooks County. All responses will be coordinated through a single 911 dispatch center to guarantee a timely and consistent response.
