BALDWIN COUNTY, GA — February 6th — Baldwin County Fire Rescue responded to a working structure fire on North Jefferson. Engine 7, Battalion 1, and Squad 17 arrived at the area and launched a strong interior attack. Firefighters obtained access to the source of the fire in a bedroom and attic, thereby halting its progress.

The Milledgeville Fire Department provided mutual help, with Engines 1 and 2 assisting with suppression and overhaul. Crews worked cooperatively to complete the extinguishment and address any leftover hot spots. Atrium EMS provided rehabilitative assistance to firemen involved in the event. Officials also acknowledged the assistance of 911 dispatchers in coordinating the response and the Milledgeville Police Department in traffic management.
