WILTON, ME — February 10th — Wilton Fire & Rescue spent the weekend combining monthly vehicle checks with rope and rescue training. With mild weather and open bay doors, personnel evaluated rescue equipment and practiced rope operations. Training included an inventory of backcountry rescue bags, available rope lengths and types, and preset mechanical advantage systems. Firefighters also covered equipment used for downed victim scenarios and practiced tying life safety knots.
