Norfolk, MA — January 27th — The Norfolk Fire Department, based at 117 Main St., responded to the Town of Medfield on a working fire assignment that was later upgraded to a second alarm structure fire. Initially, Norfolk Engine 2 was sent to Medfield to cover the engine company while crews worked there.

As the extent of the fire became clear, a second alarm was ordered and Engine 2 was reassigned from coverage duties to the fireground. Norfolk firefighters assisted Medfield Fire Department crews with fire suppression and overhaul operations to ensure all remaining fire was fully extinguished. Mutual aid responses like this allow departments to share resources during larger incidents and support safe, effective operations across the region.
