Plainville, MA — February 1st — A working fire was reported in the Town of North Attleboro, and Engine 1 of the Plainville Fire Department, which is based at 194 South St., responded on mutual aid. While local businesses oversaw the initial activities, Plainville crews were called upon under pre-existing regional mutual aid agreements. Under the supervision of incident command, Engine 1 was tasked with assisting on the fireground, collaborating with the North Attleboro Fire Department and other responding agencies.

As activities proceeded, firefighters assisted in maintaining proper manning and coverage while supporting suppression efforts. In order to exchange resources during working fires and more significant incidents, mutual assistance responses continue to be an essential component of fire service operations. The reaction shows that local fire departments are still working together and coordinating.
