This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

At 3:57 pm on Tuesday, 2/02/2021 the Franklin Fire Department with an American ambulance was dispatched to the area of 832 Route 32 for a car into a snowbank with minor injuries. While units were responding WW Dispatch updated companies that they took additional calls reporting a car on its roof with one person trapped so Windham Medic 31 was added. Car 325 arrived at 4:05 confirming a car on its roof with the driver trapped so South Windham and Windham Center were added. Car 325 established command at 4:12 reporting a prolonged extrication and requested Lebanon’s Rescue 106. Rescue 125 arrived at 4:14 and began extrication efforts. Crews had a challenging extrication because the driver’s arm was pinned out the window under the roof, while his head was pinned inside by the roof that had collapsed and his legs under the dash. The patient was extricated at 4:55 and transported by Ambulance 525 with Medic 31 to the landing zone where Lifestar Helicopter was waiting with South Windham’s Engine 104. Medic 29 also transported one person to Windham Hospital while Baltic Ambulance 524 obtained refusals.
